Now I have a feeling we all know what HB2 is. I read a article from the Charlotte Observer and It told me about how to understand HB2. It states: "The law passed by the General Assembly and signed that same night by Gov. Pat McCrory goes further than a narrow elimination of Charlotte’s ordinance, which had generated the most controversy by a change that protected transgender people who use public restrooms based on their gender identity. The new law also nullified local ordinances around the state that would have expanded protections for the LGBT community." I know Pat McCrory is not our Governor anymore but that doesn't explain the fact he did something wrong. As you look down the screen you can see a picture of a girl. Her name is Hunter Schafer. You wonder who is this girl and why is she important? Well you are looking at a picture of a used to be boy; Hunter Schafer is transgender. Transgender means: Someone who is born one gender but acts the other. Still don't understand what I am trying to say? I am saying that Hunter is choosing to go into a lawsuit for HB2. She is standing up for her beliefs so she doesn't have to break the law every time she goes to the restroom. Charlotte Observer also stated: "The state has long had laws regulating workplace discrimination, use of public accommodations, minimum wage standards and other business issues. The new law – known as HB2, the Charlotte bathroom bill or, more officially, as the Public Facilities Privacy and Security Act – makes it illegal for cities to expand upon those state laws, as more than a dozen cities had done, including Charlotte, Raleigh, Chapel Hill and Durham." Slowly the Legislative is trying to fix the mistake but at the same time some Representatives aren't and won't be moving oh so quickly. There repeal doesn't have enough support to get it to be "outright appealed"
